About Westland
Here at Westland our main goal is to make sure the kids are having FUN! Every week we learn new skills so it is important that your child attends every class! Not to mention we will miss them when they are gone!! However, if you do need to miss class, please inform Coach Gail! You can send me a message under the Contact Us section or email me at [email protected]
We like to instill positive attitudes as well as self motivation in our classes! We are sure to keep the classes up beat and fun to make sure we keep the little ones attention! It is also important that the children leave each class having learned something! So please be sure to ask your kids what they learned in class that day and encourage them to practice! Kids like to show off =D

What To Wear
Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for class. Jeans are not the ideal practice wear! Kids are encouraged to wear comfy shorts and a t-shirt/tank. Yoga pants are also acceptable. Tennis shoes are needed for cheer practice! When competition time comes, ALL WHITE SHOES will be needed, but for practice any time of gym shoe will do. Please make sure that girls hair is up and out of their face! =D
POMS
Poms are a BIG deal for the lower divisions. Please be sure to put your childs name on the handles of the poms. If your child loses their poms YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PURCHASING A NEW PAIR! At competitions and practices poms get mixed up and your child may end up with someone else's poms. So PLEASE be sure to label your childs poms in some way shape or form. Here are some examples:
Stickers
Zip Ties
Sharpee with packaging tape over
Ribbons
Duct Tape (Colored duct tape helps)
